  A great find during a holiday weekend in Terlingua. Great beers on tap, good menu and offered a Thanksgiving buffet all day on Thanksgiving. Space opened at noon on Thanksgiving. A lot of friendly locals sharing beers with one another. No liquor just beer and wine. For folks looking to watch football on Thanksgiving they had the games on.
  
  Upstairs patio had great views of the vistas and a nice space to catch some sun.

  2 stars is 2 generous. We waited over 2 hours. We were passed over twice for a table because they can't keep up with what they are doing. The most redeeming quality is the bartender. They told us they were understaffed in the kitchen, but we only saw our waitress 3 times and I had to get my own drink. The hostess brought me the wrong drink from the get go. The food is merely mediocre, but you'll eat it because you waited so long for it. Clearly they are more concerned with the large group, big ticket tables. They messed up our ticket and that took another 20 minutes to rectify. They know they are the only restaurant in town and then some.
  The atmosphere? Didn't really notice any, except for the silent movie of impatient people. Avoid. Go North. Or East. Or West. Just go...

  (Warning: Young adults from Central Florida visiting for the week) You could tell THIS IS A GATHERING PLACE from all the random faces who had planted themselves in the shaded, patio seating and where just chatting, or working on their computers, or reading a book. Although the patio got all the action during our late lunch visit, we could tell EVENINGS WERE PROBABLY MORE LIVELY by the inviting bar, visible stage and room for dancing. The menu is pretty generic American food and NOT A LOT OF HEALTHY OPTIONS. . I took some of their FAMOUS CHILI and had it served on Fries- a meal in itself while my Hubs had a Quesadilla. JUST OKAY.
